Great list @woods With all this info you certainly seem like a man who has done lots of very necessary research into this important topic! 😀
@JamesT gave me a good idea on the ride yesterday of our own 'Trip Advisor' for tea shop reviews. I've created 'Stop Advisor' (genius I know ;-) ) as a sub forum in this section. We can create a post for each tea shop and all members can contribute a good/bad/indifferent review based on experiences to as many or as few as they want. It might not work but thought we could give it a go!

Your list gives us a brilliant set of info to get the reviews started so thanks again.

No @MikeDaly that's too tame! ;-) It's definitely a trip to Skye. Unsure if this is Danny Macaskil or @Dannytomblin... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ_IQS3VKjA

I want to echo @Woods comments, it was a good ride out so thanks @JohnnyG and team. Thank you very much to @keithrose for rescuing me in my chain break incident! You can tell he was in the scouts!
Photos are here. Feel free to add if you got some too.
The whiplash from my crash is slowly subsiding....!!

As part of looking after the club's web presence, I've been taking a look at Strava.
As the club formed we ended up with two Strava groups. We've got rid of one of them (the one with just three members in it). This group does still appear in the Google search results but should fall off soon.
For the remaining group this was open for anyone to join. However, it only seems right that it's Swan Wheeler members competing for the weekly club leaderboards and, given rides are displayed on our home page too, Swan Wheeler members who represent our club through that medium. Therefore, the group has become invitation only to members and non members removed. Of course if they would like to be part of the Strava group then they are very welcome to join the club!
I will be inviting new members to the Strava club after they've joined in the same manner as this forum. If you're on Strava and not yet part of the group please let me know and we'll get that rectified.

I think @StephenT could be persuaded 😄

We now have a Swan Wheelers Cycling Club Flickr site so we can share and collate all the photos we take on our club rides and events.
So how do I upload a photo?
Save this email to your smart phone or email client address book:fin75till@photos.flickr.com
Yes it looks a bit weird but it's a randomised email address so that only those with the secret email address can upload to our site.
- create a new email
- attach the photo file(s)
- set the sender to the address above
- use the subject line to give the photo a title
- use the body to add a description (optional)
- create a new email
I'd be up for a change of scenery on both the road bike and MTB. Cotswolds or even the Chilterns sounds good for road and perhaps @StephenT and @JohnnyG 's MTB venue of choice: the Forest of Dean?
